This disgusting rusted hellplace with no water or food or drugs. The smell of decay, human or otherwise. The slick of oil gushing from broken pipes and forgotten containers. The heat of moving parts, clashing metal, a furnace that never ends.
This is the place your pain comes from and this is the place that it goes. It doesn’t end. Rooms beget nothing but more rooms upon more rooms upon more goddamn rooms. You become acutely aware of the thinness of your skin, the softness of your bones.
There’s monsters in there. Things you can’t explain. Maybe they were once like you - worked like hot glass into whatever shape they are now.
After fighting and fighting, after endless rooms, all the same, you know there’s only one way to get out of here.
